West Coast Precision Diecast models are some of the most detailed you will find in 1:24 scale. Realistic hood hinges, accurate engine compartment stickers, drive shafts that rotate with the rear wheels, brake lines, and opening fuel filler doors. Many more details can be seen in the photos!

These models have been out of production for many years, so collect them while you still can! I will be listing many more WCPD cars in the coming weeks, so please follow me and check back often!

This particular 1964 Chevrolet Impala one of a limited edition of only 250 pieces. Exterior color is Satin Silver, with a Black interior.

 INCLUDED ITEMS:

  • Removable convertible top.
  • Removable tonneau cover.
  • Two removable chrome fender skirts.
  • All four wheel covers currently have the magnets attached, but it is not unusual for the glue on these to fail over time. They are easy to repair with a dab of glue.
  • Correct styrofoam clamshell and outer box. Outer box exhibits some shelf wear and creasing.
  • A blank title.
  • Instruction sheet.
  • The fuel filler door has been tested, and opens/closes as intended. This is a VERY fragile part which is often either missing or glued in place.

ISSUES:

West Coast Precision Diecast cars in pristine condition typically sell for hundreds of dollars, if you can even find them. For this reason, even blemished cars are highly sought after among collectors. The price on this listing has been adjusted to reflect any issues listed below.

Paint issues with these cars are not uncommon, and this one is no exception. All body panels usually have some minor paint rash, which is not overly obvious unless the light is hitting it just right; this condition is hard to photograph.

The fuel filler door operation has not been tested; this is a VERY fragile part which is sometimes either missing or glued in place. Use great care when opening; if it does not open easily, do not force it. Many of the West Coast Precision Diecast Impalas had their fuel filler door screws overtightened, and the doors will break if forced. The screw can be loosened, but in order to do that the body must be removed from the chassis. A very small Phillips head screwdriver is required.

There is a horizontal scrape on the windshield that may or may not be able to be polished out.

In spite of these issues, it still displays well and is an amazing example of detailed craftsmanship! Display it as-is, or (if you are a proficient model builder), strip it down and apply a fresh coat of glossy paint for an even more stunning display. Many of the diecast parts are attached with screws, making it much easier to disassemble than if it were glued together.

GENERAL INFO:

I inspect every car, and disclose any missing or loose parts to the best of my ability. These cars have been in storage for many years, so it is possible that a small part or two may come loose during shipment to you. Most are easily repaired with a dab of glue or contact cement. Please study the photos, read the description, and ask questions before purchasing. This item is being sold as-is, and is non-returnable.
